NZFBA Conference 2012 - Competitions

The following competitions are opened only to the delegates of this conference.

  HOLY MOLY MOMENT!

WANT TO WIN 8 TUBS OF ICE CREAM LOVE AT THE CONFERENCE?
Over the first day of the conference through to the conference dinner, your mission is to capture a ‘Holy Moly!’ moment - whether it’s the food, someone’s face, a fleeting image... Then simply tweet your photo with a caption and both these hash tags #holymoly and #fortheloveoffood. You can tweet as many ‘Holy Moly!’ moments as you like. Two winning shots will be selected on the morning of conference day #2 and winners announced at morning tea. Two winners will win four tubs each of their choice of Holy Moly Ice Cream, delivered direct to their door!

   KITCHEN-WEAR COMPETITION

WIN NEW THREADS TO ADD TO YOUR KITCHEN-WEAR
Doning an apron in the kitchen is a bit like playing dress-up for some of us - suddenly we're cooking/baking like our
culinary heroes, or maybe channeling a stepford housewife!  It would be safe to say that most of us, if not all, own one
or a drawerful of aprons.  To some of you, it's up there on the list of kitchen must-haves, next to the KitchenAid,
Le Creuset casserole and slab(s) of butter.  And now you have an opportunity to win a new apron to replace the old or
simply to just add to your already enviable collection of aprons!

Simply email in a photo of your apron by 8pm, Friday 17 August and these will be shown on the NZFBA Facebook page.
You must also bring that apron in to the conference and wear it all day on Saturday 25th, especially during the Mini MasterClasses and tastings.

Who will be doing the judging?  Well, that would be YOU and the community of Kiwi bloggers out there.  The apron with
the most comments (not Likes) on Facebook will win a very styley new apron, courtesy of Visa Wellington On A Plate!

Winner of the Kitchen-wear competition - Congratulations Lydia!

putting thoughts into words, pen to paper, fingers to keyboard (sheesh...
as you can see, I won't be taking part in this competition!).

Entries will be judged by Alison Brook, Head of Publishing at HarperCollins NZ.  The lucky winner will get the new Montieth's Wild Kitchens cookbook, recipes from the Monteith’s Beer and Wild Food Challenge 2012.
